What this covers

This policy explains what information North Array ("we," "us") collects through northarray.com, why, and what happens to it. North Array is operated by Taylor, a sole proprietor freelance web/software development business based in Florida.

Information we collect

Contact and scope-your-build form. When you submit the form on the Contact page, we collect whatever you enter — your description of the workflow/project, the tools you're using, your budget range, and your email address. This is sent directly to our inbox by email. We don't store it in a database; it lives in our email like any other message you'd send us.

Payment information. If you pay for a service through northarray.com, payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, expiration date, or CVC — Stripe handles that on their own secure infrastructure. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the email address you provided at checkout.

Tint Simulator subscribers. When a business subscribes to the Tint Simulator, Stripe handles checkout and payment as described above. We receive the name and email address given at checkout, the business website and quote page link entered there, and the Stripe customer and subscription references. We store these, together with the settings the business enters on its settings page (shop name, wording, colors, shades and links), so the Tint Simulator can run on its website. The private settings page keeps its access link in the browser tab only while that tab is open.

Visitors to a website that uses the Tint Simulator. The Tint Simulator does not ask visitors for personal information, does not set cookies and does not store anything in their browser. A visitor's vehicle and shade choices stay on that page, are added to the link when the visitor clicks through to that business's quote page, and are passed to that business's own analytics if its website has them. Like any website, the server that delivers the Tint Simulator (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver it. Each business is responsible for its own website and its own privacy policy, including what it does with quote requests it receives.

Spam/bot protection. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to filter automated spam submissions. Turnstile may process some technical signals about your browser/device to do this — see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. We don't control what Cloudflare does with that data beyond the spam-check itself.

What we don't collect. This site does not run analytics or advertising trackers, does not use marketing cookies, and does not build visitor profiles. There is no tracking pixel here to opt out of. The Tint Simulator demo on this site does not record anything about the people who try it.

How we use it

Contact form submissions are used only to respond to your inquiry. Payment information is used only to process the transaction you initiated and to follow up about the service you paid for. Tint Simulator subscriber information is used only to run the service, show the right settings on the subscriber's website, manage billing and contact the subscriber about the service. We do not use your information for anything else.

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever. Data passes through the following service providers strictly to run the site and deliver the service you requested:

  • Hostinger — web hosting and the email inbox contact form submissions land in
  • Stripe — payment processing, subscriptions and the subscriber billing page
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile) — spam/bot filtering on the contact form
  • Cloudflare (Workers) — hosting the Tint Simulator and storing subscriber settings

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on their platforms.

Data retention

Contact form submissions live in our email inbox for as long as we keep that email, same as any other correspondence. Payment records are retained by Stripe per their own retention policy and standard financial record-keeping requirements. Tint Simulator subscriber records are kept while the subscription is active and for up to 12 months after it ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Apart from that, we don't maintain a separate customer database.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we have connected to your email address, or ask us to delete correspondence from our inbox or your Tint Simulator subscriber record, at any time — email hello@northarray.com. Note that Stripe's own records of a completed transaction are retained by Stripe independently, per their policy and applicable financial regulations, and aren't something we can delete on their platform.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
